British Columbia invited up to 284 candidates in the new BCPNP draw

On January 31, 2023, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 243 invitations with a minimum score of 85 points.

In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202), the province invited 18 candidates who scored 60 points.

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, the province issued 18 invitations. Additionally, fewer than 5 invitations have been issued for other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104).

The province invited up to 284 candidates with a score of 60-85 points. Including this draw, in 2023, British Columbia has already issued 1,122 invitations.

OINP invited 611 candidates under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream

On January 31, 2023, the Government of Ontario held a new draw in the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream (EJO FW) Stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

The province issued 611 targeted invitations to apply (ITAs) to tech and healthcare occupations.

The minimum score for this draw was 53, 18 points more than the previous draw. All invitees have their profiles created between November 22, 2022, to January 31, 2023.

This year, the province already invited 3,591 candidates under the OINP, and 1017 of them were candidates under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream

Ontario invited 10 candidates under the Entrepreneur Stream

On January 27, 2023, Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) released the new draw results under the Entrepreneur Stream.

It was the first draw for business candidates of the year. In this draw, the province invited 10 business candidates.

The minimum score of this round was 137, 3 points fewer than the December 22 draw.

The OINP noted that those whose Expressions of Interest were scored by January 20, 2023, were eligible for this draw. This year, Ontario invited 2,980 candidates under all streams of the OINP.

Sudbury considered 24 applications under the RNIP

On January 26, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP).

In this round, Sudbury considered 24 candidates. The lowest score of these draws was 250 points, 70 points more than in the previous draw.

All applicants had one eligible occupation and a wage over $20 per hour. Last year, in total, 154 applicants were invited.

Sudbury has recommended at least 249 individuals under the RNIP since the program's launch.
