On May 18, 2023, Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round in the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).
In the seventh round of this year, the province issued 156 invitations to apply to skilled workers in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.
PEI also invited three candidates to the Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs stream.
The lowest score for business candidates was 65 points, seven points fewer than in the April draw.
This year, PEI invited 1,102 candidates. According to the schedule, the next PEI PNP draw will occur on June 1, 2023.

On May 10, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 589 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in the fourth PNP-targeted draw of the year.
In round #248, the cut-off score was 691 points, 57 points fewer than in the previous PNP-targeted Express Entry draw.
The tie-breaking rule for this round was March 8, 2023, at 16:42:17 UTC. As of May 10, 2023, there were 225,388 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool, 4,801 fewer than the previous update.
In 2023, Canada issued 45,148 invitations in six Express Entry draws.

On May 9, 2023, the Government of Ontario held new draws in the Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream (EJO IS) and Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream (EJO FW) of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).
In the EJO IS Stream draw, the province issued 584 invitations to apply (ITAs) to eligible candidates working in healthcare and tech occupations.
In the EJO FW draw, Ontario invited 400 candidates with work experience in skilled trades occupations.
In total, OINP issued invitations to 17,073 candidates in 2023.

On May 8, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted a new invitation draw under the Human Capital Priorities Stream.
In the healthcare draw, the OINP issued 2,349 targeted Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to candidates with work experience in one of the in-demand occupations.
Those candidates' CRS Express Entry score was relatively low – between 427-482 points. The OINP invited candidates under 42 national occupational codes (NOC) in this draw.
In 2023, Ontario issued 17,073 invitations under all streams of OINP, including 7,751 candidates under the Human Capital Priorities Stream.
