Canada’s Express Entry draw CEC
Today's Express Entry draw is continuing to focus on the CEC class in Canada for immigration. Another 6000 new ITa's were issued to individuals with a score of 400 CRS points and higher.
this is the 5 draw in which Immigration Canada has focused primarily in Canada applications.
It seems the focus of Canada Immigration is to qualify all international groups currently in Canada for Permanent Residence. With the other pathway which is to be launched May 6.
Covid has made immigration Canada focus on internal immigration because of processing delays abroad and travel restrictions.
On April 29, 2021, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted a new Express Entry draw. In program-specific draw #185, Canada issued 6,000 Invitations to Apply for permanent residence in Canada in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Program. The lowest score was 400 points, 17 points fewer than in the previous CEC-specific round. The tie-breaking rule for this round was April 24, 2021 at 15:24:49 UTC. In 2021, Canada already issued 58,708 invitations in the CEC program-specific invitation rounds. In total, IRCC invited 61,771 candidates in fifteen rounds of Express Entry to apply for permanent residence.

Canada invited 381 provincial nominees in the Express Entry draw #184
On April 28, 2021, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted a new Express Entry invitation round. In this draw, IRCC invited candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program. IRCC issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to 381 provincial candidates, and the lowest score in this draw was 717 points, 36 points fewer than in the previous PNP-specific draw. The tie-breaking rule for this round March 16, 2021 at 21:20:50 UTC. As of April 26, 2021, there were 167,159 profiles in the system, 621 more compared to the previous update. In total, Canada invited 55,771 candidates to apply for permanent residence through Express Entry in 2021.

AINP invited 200 candidates in Alberta Express Entry Stream
On April 27, 2021, Alberta released a new update about the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) inventory. The province received 2,050 applications in the Alberta Opportunity Stream and 275 Expressions of Interest (EOI) in the Alberta Express Entry Stream. These applications are waiting for the eligibility assessment. In addition, on April 20, 2021, Alberta held a new round in the Alberta Express Entry Stream and issued 200 Notifications of Interest (NOI). The lowest score in this round decreased by one point and was 301 points. In 2021, AINP already invited 1,409 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in the Alberta Express Entry. The 2021 quota for AINP has not been announced yet.

BCPNP issued 362 invitations in the new round
On April 27, 2021, British Columbia conducted two draws in the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). In the general draw, the province issued 348 invitations. The lowest scores slightly changed in some categories:
• Skills Immigration - Skilled Worker 94 (-1 point)
• Skills Immigration - International Graduate 95
• Skills Immigration - Entry Level and Semi-Skilled 78 (-1 point)
• Express Entry British Columbia - Skilled Worker 94 (-1 point)
• Express Entry British Columbia - International Graduate 95
The second round of the day targeted only candidates in NOC 0621 - Retail and Wholesale Trade Managers and NOC 0631 - Restaurant and Food Service Managers. BCPNP invited 14 such candidates. Both NOCs have a high number of registrants within the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System. The lowest score of EEBC - International Graduate candidates was 114 points, one point more compared to the previous draw for these NOCs, while the lowest score of other categories was 113 points - the same as it was in the previous draw. In total, BC issued 3,893 invitations under all streams in 2021.
