British Columbia invited skilled candidates and tech workers

On April 25, 2023, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 113 invitations with a minimum score of 90 points. In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202), the province invited 28 candidates who scored 60 points.

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, t province issued 27 invitations to candidates who scored 60 points too. In this draw, BC invited a total of 168 candidates.

Including this draw, in 2023, British Columbia already issued 3,704 invitations.

Alberta invited agriculture and healthcare workers under the AAIP

On April 5 and April 18, 2023, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) held new invitation rounds in the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

The province issued 53 Notifications of Interest (NOI) under the Designated Healthcare Pathway in the first draw. Qualified candidates had an Alberta job offer and a minimum score of 351.

In the second draw, Alberta invited 68 candidates with a minimum score of 307 who work in an agriculture occupation with an Alberta job offer.

As of April 24, 2023, the province invited 705 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in the Alberta Express Entry and issued 2,171 nomination certificates.

Prince Edward Island invited 189 candidates in April

On April 20, 2023, Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round in the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

In the sixth round of this year, the province issued 180 invitations to apply to skilled workers in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.

PEI also invited nine candidates to the Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs stream.

The lowest score for business candidates was 72 points, 20 points more than in the March draw. This year, PEI invited 943 candidates.

According to the schedule, the next PEI PNP draw will occur on May 4, 2023.

Manitoba held new draws under the MPNP

On April 20, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

In round #176, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 249 applicants who scored 615 points and above.

Manitoba also issued 194 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 651 points, 19 points fewer than the previous draw.

In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 26 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

The lowest score in the SWO category was 719 points, 11 points more than in the previous draw. In addition, 38 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. Manitoba has issued LAAs to 507 candidates, including 91 Express Entry candidates for this round.

In 2023, MPNP invited 3,881 candidates, and 607 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.
