OINP held two draws under the Human Capital Priorities Stream

On July 20, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted two new invitation draws under the Human Capital Priorities Stream. In the tech draw, the OINP issued 902 targeted Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to candidates with work experience in one of the in-demand occupations.

In the healthcare draw, Ontario issued 159 targeted NOIs. Invited candidates' CRS Express Entry score was between 458 and 462 points. In total, the OINP invited 1,061 candidates in the two Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream draws.

In 2023, Ontario issued 22,007 invitations under all streams of OINP.

BC invited around 172 skilled candidates and tech professionals under the BCPNP

On July 18, 2023, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 112 invitations with a minimum score of 88 points.

In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202), the province invited 39 candidates who scored 60 points. In the Healthcare-targeted draw, the province issued 16 invitations.

Additionally, fewer than five invitations have been issued for other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104). The province invited up to 172 candidates with a score of 60-90 points.

Including this draw, in 2023, British Columbia has already issued 5,826 invitations.

Manitoba invited 540 skilled candidates under the MPNP

On July 13, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round #185, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 205 applicants who scored 604 points and above.

Manitoba also issued 237 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 661 points, one point fewer than the previous draw.

In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 41 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

The lowest score in the SWO category was 774 points, 57 points more than in the previous draw. In addition, 57 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream.

Manitoba has issued LAAs to 540 candidates, including 77 Express Entry candidates for this round.

In 2023, MPNP invited 7,838 candidates, and 2,020 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.

The CRS score in the new Express Entry draw for Francophone candidates dropped below 400

On July 12, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new Express Entry draw, selecting candidates for French language proficiency.

In round #258, IRCC issued 3,800 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to qualified candidates. This round had the lowest cut-off score – 375, 64 points fewer than the previous draw for this category.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was June 15, 2023, at 23:49:05 UTC. As of July 12, 2023, there were 209,263 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool.

This year, Canada issued 69,148 ITAs through the Express Entry draws.
