OINP invited candidates under the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream

On September 23, 2022, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) held the 5th round of invitations in Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream.

In this round, OINP issued 363 Invitations to Apply for the Francophone candidates.

The Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) range of candidates who received the Notification of Interest from the OINP was above 326 points.

The province invited candidates who have 36 specific NOCs. The Express Entry profiles of the candidates were created between September 23, 2021, and September 23, 2022.

In 2022, Ontario invited 1,379 candidates under the FSSW stream.

Thunder Bay issued 15 recommendations under the RNIP

On June 15, 2022, Thunder Bay, ON, issued new community recommendations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP).

The city approved the applications of 15 candidates whose evaluations scored as low as 49%. In 2021, the community recommended a total of 96 candidates.

This year, Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) has recommended 95 candidates.

The Thunder Bay CEDC will prioritize applicants for the recommendation who are most likely to settle and contribute to the local economy.

Candidates who received a community recommendation can submit their applications for permanent residence in Canada to Immigration Canada (IRCC).

British Columbia invited up to 357 skilled regional candidates

On September 21, 2022, the Government of British Columbia issued new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified regional candidates, including Tech workers.

In the General draw, BC issued 341 invitations, with a minimum score of 70 points.

In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 4214), the province invited 11 candidates.

Additionally, less than 5 invitations have been issued for the regional healthcare workers.

In total, the province invited up to 357 regional candidates. In 2022, British Columbia has already issued 7,198 invitations.

Quebec held the largest Arrima draw of 2022

On September 20, 2022, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) published the results of the 36th invitation round in Quebec’s online system Arrima.

On September 8, 2022, MIFI invited 1,202 candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program.

Candidates invited in this round had a valid job offer outside the territory of the Montreal Metropolitan Community.

In 2022, MIFI issued 3,843 invitations. Since the launch of Arrima in July 2019, the government of Quebec invited 10,115 foreign nationals in 36 draws to apply for immigration to Quebec.
