BC invited over 170 candidates in the new BCPNP draws

On May 2, 2023, the Government of British Columbia issued new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills Immigration candidates.

In the general draw, the province invited 133 candidates.

The minimum score for candidates invited in this draw was 85-107 points. The province issued 22 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202).

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 16 candidates who scored 60 points. In addition, the province invited fewer than five candidates working in other priority occupations.

In total, British Columbia issued up to 176 ITAs in this draw. This year, British Columbia has already invited 3,880 candidates.

Manitoba invited candidates under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream

On April 27, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

In round #177, the MPNP held a new draw under the Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO) stream and issued 558 LAAs to eligible candidates (344 to Express Entry candidates).

The lowest score in the SWO category was 616 points, 103 points fewer than in the previous draw.

In general, the MPNP invites candidates under three streams: Skilled workers in Manitoba, SWO, and the International Education Stream.

In this round of invitations, Manitoba held an SWO-only draw. In 2023, MPNP invited 4,439 candidates, and 951 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.

Alberta held new occupation-specific AAIP draws

On April 24 and April 25, 2023, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) held new invitation rounds in the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

In the first draw, Alberta invited 124 candidates with a minimum score of 301 who work in a construction occupation with an Alberta job offer.

The province issued 8 Notifications of Interest (NOI) under the Designated Healthcare Pathway in the second draw. Qualified candidates had an Alberta job offer and a minimum score of 316.

As of April 26, 2023, the province invited 837 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in the Alberta Express Entry and issued 2,549 nomination certificates.

MIFI invited over 1,000 candidates in the new Arrima draw

On April 25, 2023, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) published the results of the 45th invitation round in Quebec’s online system Arrima.

On April 20, 2023, MIFI invited 1,020 candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program.

Candidates invited in this round had a minimum score of 598 and a valid job offer outside the territory of the Montreal Metropolitan Community.

This year, MIFI invited 5,265 candidates through the regular Arrima draws.

Since the launch of Arrima in July 2019, the Government of Quebec invited 18,582 foreign nationals in 45 draws to apply for immigration to Quebec.
