British Columbia invited up to 268 high-skilled candidates under the BCPNP

On September 27, 2022, the Government of British Columbia issued new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills Immigration candidates and Tech workers.

In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 215 invitations, with a minimum score of 100 points.

In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 4214), the province invited 28 candidates. In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 15 candidates.

Additionally, less than 5 invitations have been issued for healthcare assistants (NOC 3413) and other priority occupations (NOCs 3114, 3213).

In total, the province invited up to 268 candidates. In 2022, British Columbia has already issued 7,466 invitations and 2,301 of them were issued for BCPNP Tech candidates.

Saskatchewan invited 1,146 skilled candidates under the SINP

On September 28, 2022, Saskatchewan conducted new rounds of invitations in the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

In the Express Entry category, Saskatchewan issued 639 ITAs. Another 507 invitations were issued to the Occupations In-Demand category candidates.

The lowest score for these categories was 83 and 81 points respectively, around 20 points more than it was in the previous draw. All invited candidates had Educational Credential Assessments.

In this draw, Saskatchewan invited candidates under 82 different NOCs. This year, Saskatchewan has already invited 9,710 candidates.

Canada held the largest Express Entry draw of 2022

On September 28, 2022, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 3,750 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under Express Entry.

In this round of invitations, no program has been specified. In round #232, the cut-off score was 504 points, 7 points fewer compared to the previous draw.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was May 2, 2022, at 17:17:32 UTC. As of September 26, 2022, there are 237,423 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool, 850 fewer compared to the previous update. In 2022, Canada issued 28,038 ITAs through Express Entry.

Sudbury considered 24 applications under the RNIP

On September 21, 2022, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP).

In this round, Sudbury considered 24 candidates, one of whom has been accepted under the Francophone Stream.

The lowest score of this draw was 220 points, 55 points fewer than in the previous draw. The last applicant in this draw was considered on September 19, 2022.

This year, in total, 43 applicants have been invited. In total, at least 114 individuals were recommended by the city since the launch of the program.
