Manitoba invited new candidates through the MPNP

On August 24, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round #190, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 256 applicants who scored 612 points and above.

Manitoba also issued 250 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 646 points, 1 point fewer than the previous draw.

In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 54 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

The lowest score in the SWO category was 724 points, 16 points more than in the previous draw. In addition, 63 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream.

Manitoba has issued LAAs to 623 candidates, including 178 Express Entry candidates for this round.

In 2023, MPNP invited 10,301 candidates, and 2,687 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.

BC invited up to 230 candidates under the BCPNP

On August 22, 2023, the Government of British Columbia held new invitation draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills Immigration candidates.

In the general draw, BC invited 169 candidates. The minimum score for candidates invited in this draw was 88-109 points.

The province issued 33 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202).

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 23 candidates who scored 60 points. In addition, fewer than five invitations have been issued for other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104).

In total, British Columbia issued up to 230 ITAs in this draw. This year, British Columbia has already invited 6,848 candidates.

PEI invited new candidates through the PEI PNP streams

On August 17, 2023, Prince Edward Island held new draws under the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

PEI PNP invited 138 candidates in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams. Another four invitations were sent to Business Impact Category candidates.

The lowest score for the business candidates was 102.

In total, PEI issued 142 invitations in this round. The next draw is scheduled for August 31, 2023. Since the beginning of 2023, the PEI PNP issued 1,839 invitations

. Among them, 48 invitations were under the Business Impact Category, and 1,791 were under the Labour Impact and Express Entry categories.

Ontario invited 2,835 candidates under the Human Capital Priorities Stream

On August 16, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted two new invitation draws under the Human Capital Priorities Stream.

In the first draw, the OINP issued 751 targeted Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to candidates with work experience in healthcare and tech occupations.

In the second draw, Ontario issued 2,084 targeted NOIs. Invited candidates' CRS Express Entry score was between 473 and 516 points.

In total, the OINP invited 2,835 candidates in the two Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream draws. In 2023, Ontario issued 31,247 invitations under all streams of OINP.
