British Columbia invited 245 candidates under the latest BCPNP draw

On February 7, 2023, the Government of British Columbia issued new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills Immigration candidates.

In the general draw, the province invited 207 candidates. The minimum score for candidates invited in this draw was 82-102 points.

The province issued 25 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202).

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 13 candidates. In both targeted draws, candidates had to score 60 points and more. In total, the province invited 245 candidates for this draw. This year, British Columbia has already issued 1,367 invitations.

Canada held the targeted Express Entry draw for the Federal Skilled Worker Program candidates

On February 2, 2023, the next day after Express Entry draw #239, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 3,300 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) in the new FSW-targeted draw.

In round #240, the cut-off score was 489 points.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was March 29, 2022, at 16:09:00 UTC. As of February 1, 2023, there were 239,415 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool, 598 fewer compared to the previous update. In 2023, in total, Canada issued 15,193 invitations.

OINP held two draws under the Human Capital Priorities Stream

On February 2, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted two new invitation draws under the Human Capital Priorities Stream.

In the tech draw, the OINP issued 1,127 targeted Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to candidates with work experience in one of the in-demand occupations.

Those candidates' CRS Express Entry score was between 481-489 points.

In the healthcare draw, Ontario issued 775 targeted NOIs to candidates with CRS scores between 476 and 489. In total, the OINP invited 1,902 candidates in the two Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream draws.

In 2022 Ontario issued 5,493 invitations under all streams of OINP.

British Columbia invited up to 284 candidates in the new BCPNP draw

On January 31, 2023, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 243 invitations with a minimum score of 85 points.

In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202), the province invited 18 candidates who scored 60 points.

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, the province issued 18 invitations. Additionally, fewer than 5 invitations have been issued for other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104).

The province invited up to 284 candidates with a score of 60-85 points. Including this draw, in 2023, British Columbia has already issued 1,122 invitations.
