British Columbia invited tech professionals and skilled candidates under the BCPNP

On October 11, 2023, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 118 invitations with a minimum score of 90 points. In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202), the province invited 45 candidates who scored 60 points.

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, the province issued 17 invitations. In addition, the province invited up to five candidates for other priority occupations (NOCs 31003, 32104).

The province invited up to 185 candidates with a score of 60-90 points. Including this draw, in 2023, British Columbia has already issued 8,228 invitations.

IRCC invited 3,725 candidates in the new all-program Express Entry draw

On October 10, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 3,725 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under the Express Entry draw #268.

In this draw, IRCC invited candidates under all immigration programs. In the latest round of invitations, the cut-off score was 500 points, 4 points fewer than in the previous all-program draw.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was October 2, 2023, at 15:25:30 UTC. As of October 10, 2023, there are 213,592 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool.

In 2023, Canada issued 89,773 ITAs through the Express Entry draws.

Manitoba conducted a new MPNP draw and invited over 500 candidates

On October 5, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round #197, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 219 applicants who scored 610 points and above.

Manitoba also issued 222 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 629 points, two points fewer than the previous draw. In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 41 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

The lowest score in the SWO category was 601 points, 122 points fewer than in the previous draw.

In addition, 60 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream.

In this round, Manitoba has issued LAAs to 542 candidates, including 140 Express Entry candidates. In 2023, MPNP invited 13,445 candidates, and 3,675 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.

The PEIPNP issued invitations to 20 skilled candidates

On October 5, 2023, Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams and invited 20 candidates under the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

This draw invited candidates working in the Healthcare and Food Processing sectors.

The province invited 2,038 candidates this year, including 1,986 candidates under the Labour Impact and Express Entry categories and 52 business candidates.

According to the schedule, the next PEI PNP draw will occur on October 19, 2023.
