The City of Greater Sudbury considered 62 applications under the RNIP

On September 1, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 62 candidates.

The lowest score of these draws was 220 points, 20 points fewer than in the previous draw. So far, the city has considered 292 candidates in 2023. Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants.

Since the program's launch, the city has recommended at least 462 individuals under the RNIP.

Prince Edward Island issued invitations to 22 skilled candidates

On August 31, 2023, Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams and invited 22 candidates under the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

This draw invited candidates working in the Healthcare, Manufacturing, Food Processing, and Construction sectors.

The province invited 1,861 candidates this year, including 1,813 candidates under the Labour Impact and Express Entry categories and 48 business candidates.

According to the schedule, the next PEI PNP draw will occur on September 21, 2023.

Manitoba invited candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream

On August 31, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

In round #192, the MPNP held a new draw under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM) stream and issued 288 LAAs to eligible candidates (127 to Express Entry candidates).

The lowest score in the SWM category was 600 points, 46 points fewer than in the previous draw. The province implemented region-specific selection in this draw and invited candidates who intended to reside outside Winnipeg.

In 2023, MPNP invited 10,611 candidates, and 2,814 received invitations in the Express Entry.

Ontario invited new candidates under the Masters Graduate stream

On August 30, 2023, the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) issued 772 invitations to apply (ITAs) to potential candidates in the Expression of Interest system pool for the Masters Graduate stream.

Candidates who received an invitation had a minimum score of 44 points, 4 points fewer than in the previous draw.

The profiles of selected candidates were created between November 22, 2022, and August 30, 2023.

In total, this year, the province invited 32,019 candidates under the OINP streams, including 2,971 Masters Graduate stream candidates.
