Prince Edward Island issued 141 invitations in April 2022

On April 21, 2022, Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round in the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

In the fourth round of the year, the province issued 130 invitations to apply to skilled workers in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.

PEI also invited 11 candidates to the Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs stream. The lowest score for business candidates was 67 points, 5 points more than it was in the March draw.

In 2021, Prince Edward Island issued 1,854 invitations, including 157 invitations to business candidates. This year, PEI invited 537 candidates.

The next PEI PNP draw is scheduled for May 19, 2022.

Manitoba issued 303 invitations in draw #144

On April 22, 2022, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

In round #144, MPNP issued 201 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream.

The minimum score to get the LAA in this category was 707 points, 32 points fewer compared to the previous draw.

In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, Manitoba issued 61 LAAs. The lowest score in the SWO category was 708 points, 25 points more than in the previous round.

In addition, Manitoba invited 41 candidates in the International Education Category. In total, Manitoba issued LAAs to 303 candidates, including 46 Express Entry candidates.

MPNP has invited 2,253 candidates in 2022, and 452 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.

British Columbia invited Skilled Immigration and Tech candidates in the new BCPNP draws

On April 19, 2022, the Government of British Columbia issued new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills Immigration candidates and Tech workers.

In the general draw, the province invited 147 candidates. The minimal score for candidates invited in this draw was between 77 and 125 points.

In addition, British Columbia invited 24 candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 4214).

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 7 candidates. Additionally, less than 5 invitations have been issued for other priority occupations (NOCs 3114, 3213).

In total, the province invited up to 179 candidates. In 2022, British Columbia has already issued 2,809 invitations.

IRCC issued 787 invitations in the new PNP-targeted Express Entry draw

On April 13, 2022, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 787 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in the new PNP-targeted draw.

In round #220, the cut-off score was 782 points, 3 points fewer compared to the previous PNP draw.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was April 7, 2022 at 14:13:01 UTC.

As of April 11, 2022, there are 200,924 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool, 3,043 more compared to the previous update. In 2022, Canada issued 7,257 ITAs through Express Entry.
