OINP issued 122 nominations and got its 2022 quota allocation

On July 11, 2022, the province of Ontario released a new update on the issuance of nomination certificates under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development issued nominations to 122 foreign nationals, since the last update on June 28.

In total, in 2022, Ontario issued nominations to 4,496 foreign nationals. Last year, the province nominated 8,600 candidates to apply for permanent residence with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

On the same day, the Federal government released the annual quota allocation for Ontario under the Provincial Nominee Program. In 2022, Ontario can nominate 9,750 nominees.

Saskatchewan invited 64 entrepreneurs under the SINP

On July 7, 2022, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) conducted the fourth invitation round in the Entrepreneur Program in 2022.

In this round, SINP invited 64 candidates. The highest Expression of Interest (EOI) score for this round was 130 points.

The average score was 95 points. The lowest score was 80, and those applicants were invited to apply only if they scored a CLB level of 4 or higher in English or French.

In 2022, Saskatchewan has already invited 227 entrepreneurs.

British Columbia invited over 130 candidates under various streams of the BCPNP

On July 5, 2022, British Columbia held new invitation rounds under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the BC PNP Tech, the province invited 100 candidates in the 29 eligible Tech occupations. The lowest score of the round was 85 points.

In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 4214), the province invited 21 candidates. In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 7 candidates.

Additionally, BC targeted less than 5 candidates under other targeted occupations. The lowest score in those draws was 60 points.

In total, the province invited about 133 candidates. So far, British Columbia has already issued about 4,573 ITAs including 1,814 candidates under the BCPNP Tech.

Alberta invited 150 candidates and updated the AAIP inventory

On July 4, 2022, Alberta published the inventory update of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).

There are around 1,100 Alberta Opportunity Stream applications submitted before March 18, 2022. In addition, there are 500 Expressions of Interest in the Alberta Express Entry pool.

In 2022, Alberta has already invited 2,200 candidates under the Alberta Express Entry stream.

Last year, Alberta nominated 6,250 foreign nationals to apply for PR under the AAIP.

The quota for this year has not been published yet. At the same time, AAIP is prioritizing applications for Ukrainians under the temporary processing measures in response to the crisis in Ukraine.
