Quebec invited 512 candidates in the first Arrima draw of 2022

On, January 27, 2022, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) published the results of the 27th invitation round in Quebec’s online system Arrima.

On January 13, 2022, MIFI invited 512 candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program.

Candidates invited in this round either had a validated offer of employment in the province and had a minimum score of 602.

In 2021, MIFI issued 3,582 invitations. Since the launch of Arrima in July 2019, the government of Quebec invited 6,784 foreign nationals in 27 draws to apply for immigration to Quebec.

OINP invited skilled trades candidates

On January 27, 2022, Ontario invited 1,032 candidates under the Skilled Trades Stream of the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP).

The CRS score range of the invited candidates was 381-461. Candidates, who received a notification of interest on January 27, 2022 don’t need to contact the program and can apply to the stream.

Last year, Ontario invited 1,324 candidates in two draws under the Skilled Trades Stream. The OINP already invited 2,618 candidates under all streams of OINP in 2022.

British Columbia invited 289 candidates under the SI and EEBC of the BCPNP

On January 25, 2022, British Columbia held two rounds in the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). In the general draw, BC issued 264 invitations.

The lowest scores in the categories were: • Skills Immigration - Skilled Worker 105 (+2 points) • Skills Immigration - International Graduate 93 (+3 points) • Skills Immigration - Entry Level and Semi-Skilled 77 (-1 point) • Express Entry British Columbia - Skilled Worker 114 (+4 points) • Express Entry British Columbia - International Graduate 97 (+5 points)

The second draw of the day targeted only candidates in NOC 0621 - Retail and Wholesale Trade Managers and NOC 0631 - Restaurant and Food Service Managers.

The province issued 25 invitations for such candidates.

The lowest score of those candidates was 114 points, 4 points more compared to the previous NOC-specific draw.

In total, British Columbia issued 714 ITAs under the BCPNP in 2022.

Prince Edward Island invited 132 candidates in January

On January 20, 2022, Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round in the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

In the first round of the year, the province issued 121 invitations to apply to skilled workers in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams.

PEI also invited 11 candidates to the Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs stream.

The lowest score for business candidates was 72 points, 5 points more than it was in the November draw.

In 2021, Prince Edward Island issued 1,854 invitations, including 157 invitations to business candidates.

The next PEI PNP draw is scheduled for February 17, 2022.
