British Columbia held the first BCPNP draw of 2023

On January 4, 2023, the Government of British Columbia issued new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills Immigration candidates.

In the general draw, the province invited 163 candidates.

The minimum score for candidates invited in this draw was 82-105 points. In addition, British Columbia invited 28 candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202).

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 20 candidates.

In total, the province invited up to 211 candidates for this draw. Last year, British Columbia issued 9,018 invitations.

Prince Edward Island published the schedule for invitations rounds in 2023

On January 4, 2022, the Office of Immigration of Prince Edward Island published a schedule for invitation rounds via the Expression of Interest system for individuals to apply for the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEIPNP). The invitation rounds are scheduled for the following dates: • January 19, 2023 • February 16, 2023 • March 16, 2023 • April 20, 2023 • May 18, 2023 • June 15, 2023 • July 20, 2023 • August 17, 2023 • September 21, 2023 • October 19, 2023 • November 16, 2023 • December 21, 2023 The Office of Immigration reserves the right to modify the schedule based on program requirements. #Prince_Edward_Island, #PEIPNP, #Business_immigration, #Skilled_workers, #Entrepreneurs

Manitoba issued a record number of invitations

On December 30, 2022, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

In round #163, the MPNP issued 202 LAAs in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream.

The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 750 points, 21 points fewer than the previous draw.

In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, Manitoba issued 40 LAAs. The lowest score in the SWO category was 711 points, 8 points more than in round #162.

In addition, Manitoba invited 38 candidates in the International Education Stream.

Manitoba has issued LAAs to 280 candidates, including 21 Express Entry candidates for this round. In 2022 MPNP invited 7,651 candidates, and 1,964 received invitations in the Express Entry.

OINP invited 14 business candidates under the Entrepreneur Stream

On December 22, 2022, Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) released the results of the new draw under the Entrepreneur Stream.

In this draw, the province invited 14 business candidates. The minimum score of this round was 140, two points more compared to the August 16 draw.

The OINP noted that those whose Expressions of Interest were scored by December 15, 2022, were eligible for this draw.

This year, the Government of Ontario invited 96 business candidates to apply for the provincial nomination.
