On February 28, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) published a new update regarding the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).
As of February 28, 2023, there were around 1,370 Alberta Opportunity Stream applications and 450 Expressions of Interest in the Alberta Express Entry pool.
In addition, on February 16, 2023, Alberta held a new invitation round in the Alberta Express Entry Stream and issued 100 Notifications of Interest (NOI) with a minimum score of 357.

On February 28, 2023, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).
In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 145 invitations with a minimum score of 83 points.
In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202), the province invited 18 candidates who scored 60 points.

On February 24, 2023, the next day after draw #169, the Government of Manitoba held the eleventh draw for Ukrainian candidates.
The province invited 13 candidates through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) in this draw.
To be eligible, applicants must be Ukrainian citizens, have a minimum of CLB 4 in each language band, have connections to the province (close relative, community ties, previous employment or studies in Manitoba), and score at least 60 points in the EOI registration points-grid, and possess a valid language test in one of the official languages.
In total, the province invited 1,583 candidates in 2023, including 34 Ukrainian nationals.

On February 23, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
In round #169, the MPNP held the first occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream and invited 207 applicants under the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 minor groups:
• Transport and transit drivers (73300) • Retail and wholesale trade managers (60020) • Nursing and allied health professionals (31300) • Assisting occupations in education (41109) • Secondary, elementary and kindergarten schoolteachers (43100) • Hairstylists and estheticians (63210) • Automotive service technicians (72410) • Paraprofessional occupations in legal, social, community and education services (42200) • Retail salespersons and non-technical wholesale trade sales and account representatives (64100) • Office support and court services occupations (14100)
Manitoba also issued 298 LAAs in the regular Skilled Workers in Manitoba draw.
The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 693 points, 27 points fewer than the previous draw.
In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, Manitoba issued 27 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
The lowest score in the SWO category was 721 points, 12 points more than in the previous draw.
In addition, 51 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. Manitoba has issued LAAs to 583 candidates, including 140 Express Entry candidates for this round.
In 2023, MPNP invited 1,570 candidates, and 232 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.
