Canadian provinces to accept more immigrants under the PNPs

Canada expects to accept more newcomers through provincial nominee programs (PNPs) in the coming years.

This year, Canada provided provinces with multi-year allocation plans for the first time.

The plan includes an unprecedented 44 percent growth in PNP allocations for 2023 and offers potential numbers for 2024 and 2025.

Despite the Federal Government's decision not to release the Multi-Year Allocation Plan publicly, many provinces have taken matters into their own hands and made these allocations available on their websites.

Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta have already provided their PNP allocations for the following years. #PNP, #Multi_Year_Allocation_Plan, #PNP_allocations

IRCC has too many personnel working on Express Entry

A new report from Yves Giroux, Canada’s Parliamentary Budget Officer, states that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) possess 65% more staff than necessary to meet their Express Entry goal.

The federal government aims to process 80% of applications received under Express Entry immigration programs within six months.

As a result, the total expenditure predicted to achieve the processing target amounts to $792 million over five years.

With fees collected (743 million), this amount will be reduced to an approximate net cost of $48 million.#Express_Entry, #IRCC, #staffing, #EE, #EE_Budget
