Canada succeeded to decrease the amount of COVID infected international flights

According to Health Canada, the number of international flights carrying COVID-19 infected passengers dropped 61% in May compared to April. In May, only 113 flights landing at Canadian airports carried passengers infected with COVID-19 while in April, this number was 288, 66 of which were direct flights from India’s capital of Delhi. This proves the efficiency of Transport Canada’s decision to ban passenger flights from India and Pakistan on April 22. In addition, restrictions on travellers arriving from these two countries via connecting flights also helped to drop the number of COVID-19 infected international flights. #COVID_19, #travel_restrictions, #India, #Pakistan
