New measures for foreign nationals with expired or expiring post-graduation work permits and applicants to the temporary resident to permanent resident pathways
16th, Sep 2022
The Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, Sean Fraser, is working on a new permanent residency pathway for undocumented persons in Canada.
In December 2021, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gave the Immigration Minister a charge letter instructing him to develop pilot programs to look for more solutions for regularizing the status of undocumented workers who contribute to Canadian society.
The details of the program, such as the skills and educational levels of employees or the number of applications to be permitted, are not revealed.
