Saskatchewan invited 35 candidates under the Entrepreneur Program

On July 6, 2023, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) conducted the fourth invitation round in the Entrepreneur Program 2023 and invited 35 entrepreneurs.

This round's highest Expression of Interest (EOI) score was 125 points. The average score was 110 points. The lowest score was 105.

The province will conduct the next EOI pool selections on September 7, 2023, and November 2, 2023. According to the new update, candidates cannot change their business plans after applying to the program.

They also cannot change their Business Performance Agreement after the SINP approval. In 2023, Saskatchewan invited 4,733 candidates under all streams, including 173 entrepreneurs.

Quebec held the largest Arrima draw of 2023

On July 6, 2023, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) published the results of the 48th invitation round in Quebec’s online system Arrima.

On June 29, 2023, MIFI invited 1,218 candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program.

Candidates invited in this round had a minimum score of 584, at least level 7 oral proficiency in French, and a valid job offer outside the territory of the Montreal Metropolitan Community.

This year, MIFI invited 8,291 candidates through the regular Arrima draws.

Since the launch of Arrima in July 2019, the Government of Quebec invited 21,608 foreign nationals in 48 draws to apply for immigration to Quebec.

Alberta published the results of the new AAIP draws

On July 4, 2023, the Government of Alberta published the results of the new invitation rounds in the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

The province held two draws under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). On June 29, 2023, Alberta invited 65 candidates working in the construction sector.

On July 4, the province issued 12 invitations under the Designated Healthcare Pathway. The minimum scores for these draws were 316 and 354, respectively.

As of July 4, 2023, the province invited 1,720 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in the Alberta Express Entry and issued 5,440 nomination certificates.

Canada invited more candidates in the new all-program Express Entry draw

On July 4, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 700 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under Express Entry.

In this draw, IRCC invited candidates under all immigration programs. In round #253, the cut-off score was 511 points, 25 points more than in the previous all-program draw.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was July 1, 2023, at 09:31:32 UTC.

As of July 4, 2023, there are 214,529 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool, 5,474 fewer than in the previous update.

In 2023, Canada issued 60,248 ITAs through the seventeenth Express Entry draws.
