BC issued over 150 invitations under the BCPNP

On October 17, 2023, the Government of British Columbia held new invitation draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills Immigration candidates.

In the general draw, BC invited 104 candidates. The minimum score for candidates invited in this draw was 91-113 points.

The province issued 31 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202). In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 17 candidates who scored 60 points.

In addition, fewer than five invitations have been issued for other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104). In total, British Columbia issued up to 157 ITAs in this draw.

This year, British Columbia has already invited 8,385 candidates.

The City of Sudbury considered new applications under the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program

On October 13, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) Program.

In this round, Sudbury considered 33 candidates, including two candidates drawn through the Francophone Stream.

The lowest score of these draws was 235 points, five points lower than in the previous draw. Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants.

Since the program's launch, the city has recommended around 520 individuals under the RNIP. So far, the city has considered 412 candidates in 2023.

Sudbury considered 49 applications in the new RNIP draw

On October 11, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 49 candidates.

The lowest score of these draws was 240 points, five points more than in the previous draw. Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants.

Since the program's launch, the city has recommended at least 486 individuals under the RNIP. So far, the city has considered 378 candidates in 2023.

British Columbia invited tech professionals and skilled candidates under the BCPNP

On October 11, 2023, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 118 invitations with a minimum score of 90 points. In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202), the province invited 45 candidates who scored 60 points.

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, the province issued 17 invitations. In addition, the province invited up to five candidates for other priority occupations (NOCs 31003, 32104).

The province invited up to 185 candidates with a score of 60-90 points. Including this draw, in 2023, British Columbia has already issued 8,228 invitations.
