IRCC held a new Express Entry draw for Francophone candidates

On October 25, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new Express Entry draw for French language proficiency candidates.

In round #270, IRCC issued 300 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to francophone candidates. The cut-off score of this draw was 486 points, 14 points more than the previous draw for this category. The tie-breaking rule for this round was September 30, 2023, at 04:22:17 UTC.

As of October 23, 2023, there were 214,873 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. This year, Canada issued 91,621 ITAs through the Express Entry draws.

IRCC held a new PNP-targeted Express Entry draw

in October 24, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 1,548 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in the fifth PNP-targeted Express Entry draw of the year.

In round #269, the cut-off score was 776 points, 85 points more than in the previous PNP-targeted Express Entry draw. The tie-breaking rule for this round was July 7, 2023, at 07:28:57 UTC.

As of October 23, 2023, there were 214,873 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. In 2023, Canada issued 91,321 invitations through the regular Express Entry draws.

BC held new draws for tech professionals and skilled immigrants

On October 24, 2023, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 101 invitations with a minimum score of 90 points. In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202), the province invited 34 candidates who scored 60 points.

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, the province issued 22 invitations.

In addition, the province invited up to five candidates for other priority occupations (NOCs 31003, 32104). The province invited up to 162 candidates with a score of 60-90 points. Including this draw, in 2023, British Columbia has already issued 8,557 invitations.

Saskatchewan invited skilled candidates under the two SINP categories

On October 23, 2023, Saskatchewan conducted new rounds of invitations in the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). In the Express Entry category, Saskatchewan issued 59 ITAs.

Another 40 invitations were issued to the Occupations In-Demand category candidates.

The lowest score in both categories was 84, 15 points more than in the previous draws. All invited candidates had Educational Credential Assessments.

In these draws, Saskatchewan invited 99 candidates under 26 different NOCs. In 2023, Saskatchewan invited 5,497 skilled immigrants and entrepreneurs under the SINP.
