On September 20, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP).
In this round, Sudbury considered 37 candidates, including two candidates drawn through the Francophone Stream.
The lowest score of these draws was 235 points, 15 points more than in the previous draw. Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants.
Since the program's launch, the city has recommended at least 437 individuals under the RNIP. So far, the city has considered 267 candidates in 2023.

On September 20, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the first-ever round of invitations in the Express Entry system for newcomers with work experience in transport occupations.
Express Entry draw #264 issued 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to skilled workers with work experience in the transport sector.
In this draw, the cut-off score was 435 points. The tie-breaking rule for this round was June 17, 2023, at 06:44:01 UTC.
As of September 20, 2023, there are 216,035 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. In 2023, Canada issued 81,948 ITAs through the Express Entry draws.

On September 19, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 3,200 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under the Express Entry draw #263.
In this draw, IRCC invited candidates under all immigration programs. In the latest round of invitations, the cut-off score was 531 points, 35 points more than in the previous all-program draw.
The tie-breaking rule for this round was September 12, 2023, at 12:16:31 UTC. As of September 19, 2023, there are 216,035 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool. In 2023, Canada issued 80,948 ITAs through the Express Entry draws.

On September 19, 2023, the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) issued 537 invitations to apply (ITAs) for the Masters Graduate stream.
The minimum score of this round was 41 points, three points fewer than it was in the previous draw. In addition, on September 19, 2023, Ontario also invited 71 candidates under the PhD Graduate Stream.
The minimum score for this draw was 40 points. The profiles of selected candidates were created between November 22, 2022, and September 19, 2023.
In total, this year, the province invited 32,927 candidates through the OINP.
