On October 15, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the fifth occupation-specific Express Entry draw of the year for candidates working in healthcare and social services occupations.
In round #373, IRCC issued 2,500 Invitations to Apply (ITA), and the cut-off score was 472 points (2 points more than the last draw). The tie-breaking rule for this round was May 12, 2025, at 23:17:30 UTC.
This year, Canada issued 74,183 ITAs across 43 Express Entry draws, and 10,000 of them were for healthcare and social services professionals.

On October 14, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the Express Entry draw #372.
The Government of Canada issued 345 Invitations to Apply (ITA) for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates in this draw. This round’s cut-off score was 778 points, 77 points fewer than the previous PNP-targeted draw.
The tie-breaking rule for this round was July 17, 2025, at 19:58:49 UTC. As of October 13, 2025, 248,342 profiles were registered in the Express Entry pool. In 2025, the Government of Canada invited 71,683 Express Entry candidates, including 7,583 PNP candidates.

Over the past month, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the International Experience Canada (IEC) pools.
From September 6 to October 10, Canada invited 4,965 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of October 10, 39,279 candidates were registered in the pool and awaiting invitations.
Canada issued 1 ITA for Andorra, 719 ITAs for Australia, 12 ITAs for Austria, 13 ITAs for Belgium, 1 ITA for Chile, 8 ITAs for Costa Rica, 19 ITAs for Croatia, 111 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 29 ITAs for Denmark, 8 ITAs for Estonia, 27 ITAs for Finland, 678 ITAs for France, 497 ITAs for Germany, 41 ITAs for Greece, 27 ITAs for Hong Kong, 5 ITAs for Iceland, 432 ITAs for Ireland, 392 ITAs for Italy, 29 ITAs for Japan, 1,112 ITAs for Korea, 6 ITAs for Latvia, 24 ITAs for Lithuania, 5 ITAs for Luxembourg, 222 ITAs for New Zealand, 20 ITAs for Norway, 94 ITAs for Poland, 96 ITAs for Portugal, 1 ITA for San Marino, 57 ITAs for Slovakia, 10 ITAs for Slovenia, 33 ITAs for Spain, 49 ITAs for Sweden, 20 ITAs for Switzerland, 25 ITAs for Taiwan, and 142 ITAs for the United Kingdom.

On October 9, 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador held new rounds of selection through the Enhanced Expression of Interest (EOI) system, issuing a total of 125 invitations
. Of these, 73 were sent to candidates under the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP), while 52 went to applicants through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
As of February 19, 2025, all applicants to the NLPNP and AIP must submit their applications through the new Immigration Accelerator platform. So far, the province has invited 2,946 candidates in 2025.
