BCPNP issued 379 invitation in the new round
On May 11, 2021, British Columbia conducted two draws in the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). In the general draw, the province issued 331 invitations. The lowest scores slightly changed in some categories:
• Skills Immigration - Skilled Worker 94
• Skills Immigration - International Graduate 92 (-3 point)
• Skills Immigration - Entry Level and Semi-Skilled 77 (-1 point)
• Express Entry British Columbia - Skilled Worker 94
• Express Entry British Columbia - International Graduate 92 (-3 point)
The second round of the day targeted only candidates in NOC 0621 - Retail and Wholesale Trade Managers and NOC 0631 - Restaurant and Food Service Managers. BCPNP invited 48 such candidates. Both NOCs have a high number of registrants within the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System. The lowest score of these two NOC’s candidates was 112 points one point fewer compared to the previous draw for these NOCs. In total, BC invited 4,356 candidates under all streams of BCPNP in 2021.

Nova Scotia invited 2 international graduate entrepreneurs under the new NSNP draw
On May 11, 2021, Nova Scotia published the results of the first draw in 2021 in the International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream of the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) that occurred on May 3. The province issued only two invitations to candidates whose score was 44 points, 2 points more than in the previous round that was held on December 9, 2020. The International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream is intended for recent graduates of Nova Scotia’s educational institutions. Candidates must have already started or bought a business in the province and operated it for at least a year.

Sudbury considered 12 applications in the Rural and Northern Pilot
On May 11, 2021, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 12 candidates, 4 fewer than in the April 26 draw. The lowest score of this draw was 205 points, 35 points fewer than in the previous draw. The last applicant in this draw was considered on April 6, 2021. Candidates who applied after September 2020 but never got an invitation, may be drawn in the next rounds. In 2020, Sudbury invited 42 candidates, and in total, 54 individuals were recommended by the city since the launch of the program. This year, in total, 40 applicants have already been invited.

MPNP issued 150 invitations to apply for the nomination of Manitoba
On May 6, 2021, Manitoba conducted a new draw in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round #115, Manitoba invited 108 candidates in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream. The lowest score of those who received a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) was 400, 40 points fewer compared to draw #114. As for the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream, the province invited 29 individuals, and the lowest score to get the LAA was 703, 18 points fewer than in the previous round. In addition, MPNP invited 13 candidates in the International Education Category. Of those 150 invited in this round, 14 candidates had valid Express Entry profiles. In 2021, Manitoba already invited 2,786 individuals under the MPNP, including 576 Express Entry candidates.
