Sudbury considered 12 applications in the Rural and Northern Pilot

On April 12, 2021, the City of Greater Sudbury held the first round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 12 candidates and the lowest score of this draw was 280 points, 45 points fewer than in the September 22 draw. The last applicant in this draw was considered on March 23, 2021. The immigration authorities of Sudbury announced that Cooks (NOC 6322) and Kitchen Helpers (NOC 6711) are now excluded from the list of eligible occupations. Sudbury also explained that candidates who applied after September 2020 but never got an invitation, may be drawn in the next rounds. Alberta issued 200 NOIs in Alberta Express Entry

On April 13, 2021, Alberta posted a new update about the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) inventory. Alberta received 2,175 applications in the Alberta Opportunity Stream and 200 Expressions of Interest (EOI) in the Alberta Express Entry Stream. These applications are waiting for the eligibility assessment. In addition, on April 6, 2021, Alberta conducted a new invitation round in the Alberta Express Entry Stream and invited 200 candidates to apply for a nomination of the province. The lowest score to get a Notification of Interest (NOI) in this round increased by one point to 302 points. In 2021, AINP already invited 1,209 Express Entry candidates in the Alberta Express Entry. Ontario issued 528 NOIs in the new OINP Tech Draw

On April 13, 2021, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued 528 targeted Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to candidates under the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream. The OINP Tech Draws are aimed mainly at candidates in six following technical occupations: NOC 2173 Software engineers and designers, NOC 2174 Computer programmer and interactive media developers, NOC 2147 Computer engineers, NOC 2175 Web designers and developers, NOC 2172 Database analysts and data administrators, and NOC 0213 Computer and information systems managers. The CRS score range of this round was 456-467 points. This year, OINP invited 1,714 candidates in two Tech Draws. Manitoba invited 243 candidates in draw #112

On April 8, 2021, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round #112, MPNP issued 208 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream. The minimum score to get the LAA in this category was 456 points, 33 points higher compared to draw #110. In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, Manitoba issued 14 LAAs. The lowest score in the SWO category was 708 points, 3 points fewer than in the previous draw. In addition, Manitoba invited 21 candidates in the International Education Category. In total, Manitoba issued LAAs to 243 candidates, including 15 Express Entry candidates. MPNP has invited 1,870 candidates in 2021 and 155 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.
