British Columbia issued more than 170 Skilled Immigration invitations in the BCPNP draws

On March 14, 2022, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 123 invitations. In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 4214), the province invited 27 candidates.

In the Healthcare-targeted draw for entry-level and semi-skilled workers, BC invited 21 candidates. The lowest score of those candidates was 85 points.

In addition, the province issued less than 5 invitations for healthcare assistants (NOC 3413) in the entry-level and semi-skilled category, with a minimum score of 63 points. In total, British Columbia has already invited 1862 candidates under the BCPNP in 2022.

Alberta invited 350 candidates and updated the AAIP inventory

On March 15, 2022, Alberta published the update of the inventory of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).

There were around 500 Alberta Opportunity Stream applications and 850 Expressions of Interest in the Alberta Express Entry pool.

In addition, on March 8, 2022, Alberta held a new round in the Alberta Express Entry Stream and issued 350 Notifications of Interest (NOI).

The lowest score in this round was 318 points, 22 points fewer than it was in the previous draw. In 2022, Alberta has already invited 1,350 candidates.

Manitoba invited 120 candidates in draw #139

On March 10, 2022, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

In round #139, MPNP issued 50 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream.

The minimum score to get the LAA in this category was 781 points, 169 points more compared to the previous draw.

In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, Manitoba issued 34 LAAs. The lowest score in the SWO category was 718 points, 33 points more than in the previous round.

In addition, Manitoba invited 36 candidates in the International Education Category. In total, Manitoba issued LAAs to 120 candidates, including 33 Express Entry candidates.

MPNP has invited 1,500 candidates in 2022, and 333 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.

British Columbia invited 204 candidates in the new SI and EEBC of the BCPNP draws

On March 8, 2022, British Columbia held two rounds in the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the general draw, BC issued 191 invitations. The lowest scores in the categories were:

• Skills Immigration - Skilled Worker 112 • Skills Immigration - International Graduate 100 (+2 points) • Skills Immigration - Entry Level and Semi-Skilled 77 • Express Entry British Columbia - Skilled Worker 128 (+3 points) • Express Entry British Columbia - International Graduate 114 (+2 points)

The second draw of the day targeted only candidates in NOC 0621 - Retail and Wholesale Trade Managers and NOC 0631 - Restaurant and Food Service Managers.

The province issued 13 invitations for such candidates. The lowest score of those candidates was 128 points, 3 points more compared to the previous NOC-specific draw. In total, British Columbia issued 1,686 ITAs under the BCPNP in 2022.
