Canada invited 589 PNP candidates in the new Express Entry draw

On May 25, 2022, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 589 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in the new PNP-

specific draw. In round #223, the lowest score to get the ITA was 741 points, 12 points fewer compared to the previous round. The tie-breaking rule for this round was February 2, 2022 at 12:29:53

UTC. As of May 24, 2022, there are 211,093 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool, 4,367 more compared to the previous update. In 2022, Canada invited 9,220 candidates to apply for PR in Express Entry.

Alberta invited new candidates and updated the AINP inventory

On May 25, 2022, Alberta published the update of the inventory of the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). There were around 1,050 Alberta Opportunity Stream applications and 750

Expressions of Interest in the Alberta Express Entry pool. In addition, on May 19, 2022, Alberta held a new round in the Alberta Express Entry Stream and issued 100 Notifications of Interest

(NOI). The lowest score in this round was 382 points, 26 points more than it was in the previous draw. Last year, AINP invited 6,608 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination

in the Alberta Express Entry. In 2022, Alberta has already invited 2,050 candidates.

British Columbia invited more skilled immigrants in the new BCPNP draws

On May 17, 2022, the Government of British Columbia issued new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills

Immigrationcandidates and Tech workers. In the general draw, the province invited 154 candidates. The minimal score for candidates invited in this draw was between 76-123 points.

Inaddition,British Columbia invited 21 candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 4214). In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited up to 5 candidates.

Additionally, less than 5 invitations have been issued for Healthcare assistants (NOC 3413). In total, the province invited up to 185 candidates. In 2022, British Columbia has already issued 3,506

invitations.

Quebec invited 30 candidates in the seventh Arrima draw of 2022

On May 13, 2022, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) published the results of the 33rd invitation round in Quebec’s online system Arrima. On May 5, 2022, MIFI invited 30 candidates to

apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program. Candidates invited in this round had a valid job offer outside the territory of the Montreal Metropolitan

Community. In 2022, MIFI issued 2,232 invitations. Since the launch of Arrima in July 2019, the government of Quebec invited 8,504 foreign nationals in 33 draws to apply for immigration to Quebec.
