IRCC held a new all-program Express Entry draw

On June 27, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 4,300 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under Express Entry.

In this draw, IRCC continued inviting candidates under all immigration programs. In round #251, the cut-off score was 486 points, the same as in the previous all-program draw.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was June 21, 2023, at 00:57:04 UTC. As of June 27, 2023, there are 220,003 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool, 2,163 fewer than in the previous update.

In 2023, Canada issued 59,048 ITAs through fifteen Express Entry draws.

British Columbia invited around 149 skilled candidates under the BCPNP

On June 20, 2023, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 107 invitations with a minimum score of 90 points. In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202), the province invited 18 candidates who scored 60 points.

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, the province issued 19 invitations. Additionally, fewer than five invitations have been issued for other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104).

The province invited up to 149 candidates with a score of 60-90 points. Including this draw, in 2023, British Columbia has already issued 5,125 invitations.

Ontario invited candidates under two streams of the OINP

On June 20, 2023, the Government of Ontario held new draws in the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream (EJO IS) and Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream (EJO FW) of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

The province held two draws in the EJO FW Stream and issued 744 invitations to apply (ITAs) to eligible candidates working in healthcare and construction occupations. In addition, Ontario held another draw for the EJO IS stream.

Ontario issued 256 invitations to apply in a general draw to candidates with a minimum score of 26. In total, OINP issued invitations to 20,198 candidates in 2023.

BCPNP invited up to ten candidates through the entrepreneur draws

On June 20, 2023, British Columbia held new draws for business candidates in the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). BCPNP invited up to five candidates in the Base Category of the Entrepreneur Stream. The lowest score of this round was 119 points, four points more than it was in the previous draw.

In addition, the province invited fewer than five candidates in the Entrepreneur Immigration - Regional Pilot category with a minimum score of 152.

The maximum points in the Entrepreneur Stream grid are 200. Candidates can get 120 points for self-declared factors such as Experience & Ownership, Net Worth, Investment, etc. Another 80 points are given for the business concept.

British Columbia issued 5,125 invitations this year, including up to 54 entrepreneurs.
