Quebec invited over one thousand candidates in the new Arrima draw

On June 28, 2023, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) published the results of the 47th invitation round in Quebec’s online system Arrima.

On June 22, 2023, MIFI invited 1,006 candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program. Candidates invited in this round had a minimum score of 626, at least level 7 oral proficiency in French, and a valid job offer outside the territory of the Montreal Metropolitan Community.

This year, MIFI invited 7,073 candidates through the regular Arrima draws. Since the launch of Arrima in July 2019, the Government of Quebec invited 20,390 foreign nationals in 47 draws to apply for immigration to Quebec.

The City of Greater Sudbury considered 53 applications under the RNIP

On June 28, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 53 candidates.

The lowest score of these draws was 250 points, ten points lower than in the previous draw.

Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants.

Since the program's launch, the city has recommended at least 346 individuals under the RNIP. So far, the city has considered 176 candidates in 2023.

BC invited over 180 candidates in the new BCPNP draws

On June 27, 2023, the Government of British Columbia issued new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills Immigration candidates.

In the general draw, the province invited 130 candidates. The minimum score for candidates invited in this draw was 87-109 points.

The province issued 30 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202). In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 20 candidates who scored 60 points.

In addition, the province invited fewer than five candidates working in other priority occupations. In total, British Columbia issued up to 185 ITAs in this draw.

This year, British Columbia has already invited 5,310 candidates.

Alberta invited new candidates under the new occupation-specific AAIP draws

On June 27, 2023, the Government of Alberta published the results of the new invitation rounds in the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

The province held three draws under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).

On June 20, 2023, Alberta invited 68 candidates working in the construction sector.

On June 21, the province issued 19 invitations under the Designated Healthcare Pathway, while on June 22, the AAIP invited 125 candidates under the Family Connection pathway.

As of June 27, 2023, the province invited 1,643 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in the Alberta Express Entry and issued 5,282 nomination certificates.
