Saskatchewan invited more business candidates under the SINP

On November 2, 2023, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) conducted the sixth invitation round in the Entrepreneur Program 2023 and invited 13 entrepreneurs.

This round's highest Expression of Interest (EOI) score was 155 points.

The average score was 130 points. The lowest score was 115. According to the new update, candidates cannot change their business plans after applying to the program.

They also cannot change their Business Performance Agreement after the SINP approval. In 2023, Saskatchewan invited 5,510 candidates under all streams, including 209 entrepreneurs.

Alberta held two occupation-specific AAIP draws

On November 1, 2023, the Government of Alberta published the results of the new invitation rounds in the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

On October 24 and 26, 2023, the province held two draws under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). Alberta issued 22 invitations under the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway.

Invited candidates had a minimum score of 326. On October 26, the AAIP invited 100 candidates under the Family connection stream.

As of November 1, 2023, the province invited 3,503 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in the Alberta Express Entry and issued 9,028 nomination certificates.

Quebec sent out 1,220 invitations in the new Arrima draw

On November 1, 2023, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) published the results of the 54th invitation round in Quebec’s online system Arrima.

On October 26, 2023, MIFI invited 1,220 candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program.

Candidates invited in this round had a minimum score of 465, at least level 7 oral proficiency in French, and a valid job offer outside the territory of the Montreal Metropolitan Community.

This year, MIFI invited 15,979 candidates through the regular Arrima draws.

BC invited over 200 candidates under the BCPNP

On October 31, 2023, the Government of British Columbia held new invitation draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and issued invitations to apply to qualified Skills Immigration registrants.

Targeted ITAs have also been issued to qualified candidates in healthcare, childcare, and other priority occupations.

In the general draw, the province invited 133 candidates. The minimum score for candidates invited in this draw was 91-113 points. BC issued 48 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202).

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC British Columbia invited 22 candidates who scored 60 points. In addition, fewer than five invitations have been issued for other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104). In total, British Columbia issued up to 208 ITAs in this draw.

This year, British Columbia has already invited 8,765 candidates.
