PEI invited new candidates through the Labour Impact and Express Entry stream

On April 18, 2024, Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams and invited 82 candidates under the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

This draw invited candidates working in the Healthcare, Manufacturing, Construction, and Traditional sectors.

This year, the province invited 593 candidates, including 588 under the Labour Impact and Express Entry categories and five business candidates.

According to the schedule, the next PEI PNP draw will occur on May 2, 2024.

The Government of Alberta updated the AAIP inventory

On April 16, 2024, Alberta published the update considering the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) inventory.

According to the new update, there were around 4,358 Alberta Opportunity Stream applications, 1,728 Rural Renewal Stream applications, 300 Tourism and Hospitality Stream applications, and 969 applications under all pathways (Family Connection and In-Demand Occupation Streams, Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, Priority Sectors, and Accelerated Tech Pathway) of the Express Entry stream.

In 2024, the province invited 410 candidates through the AAIP Express Entry streams.

BC invited skilled candidates under the BCPNP

On April 16, 2024, the Government of British Columbia held new invitation draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and issued invitations to apply to skilled candidates in the general draw and to candidates with work experience in healthcare, childcare, construction and veterinary care occupations.

In the general draw, the province invited 39 candidates. The minimum score for candidates invited in this draw was 107 points. BC issued 12 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202).

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, British Columbia invited 18 candidates who scored 97 points. The province also issued ten invitations to candidates working in the construction sector.

Finally, up to five invitations have been issued to candidates working in veterinary care occupations. In total, British Columbia issued up to 84 ITAs in this draw. This year, British Columbia has already invited up to 2,759 candidates.

Sudbury held a new draw for RNIP candidates

In April 11, 2024, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) Program.

The city considered 24 candidates in this round, including 20 via the Conventional Stream and four via the Francophone Stream.

The minimum score for the Conventional stream was 160, while the cut-off score for Francophone candidates was 155. This year, Sudbury invited a total of 351 applicants.

So far, the city has recommended around 740 individuals under the RNIP since the program's launch.
