New Brunswick conducted five new draws under the NBPNP and the AIP

New Brunswick published the results of its recent draws using an expression of interest system to streamline immigration applications for the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).

From April 30 to May 3, 2026, the province conducted five new draws and issued a total of 373 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to qualified candidates.

The new draws were conducted under the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream – Employment in New Brunswick (17 ITAs), NB Skilled Worker – NB Graduates Stream and New Brunswick Experience Pathway (200 ITAs), NB Strategic Initiative – Francophone Workers in New Brunswick and New Brunswick Francophone Priorities (106 invitations), and Atlantic Immigration Program (50 invitations). In total, the province invited 2,039 candidates in 2026.

British Columbia invited entrepreneurs under two BCPNP business streams

On May 5, 2026, British Columbia held two draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). The BCPNP issued 8 invitations to candidates in the Base Category of the Entrepreneur Stream, which is designed for experienced businessmen seeking to establish a new business or acquire an existing one in British Columbia.

In addition, the province invited up to five candidates in the Entrepreneur Immigration - Regional Pilot category. The lowest score of this round was 115 points for both streams.

Last year, British Columbia invited up to 132 business candidates through the Entrepreneur draws. So far this year, the province has issued 1,437 invitations under the BCPNP, with up to 64 of them going to entrepreneurs.

Newfoundland and Labrador held the fourth invitation round of 2026 and invited an additional 190 candidates

On May 1, 2026, Newfoundland and Labrador held the fourth round of selection through the Enhanced Expression of Interest (EOI) system, issuing a total of 190 invitations.

Of these, 157 were sent to candidates under the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP), while 33 went to applicants through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). Last year, Newfoundland and Labrador invited a total of 3,376 applicants under the NLPNP and AIP. So far, the province has invited 1,090 candidates in 2026.

Ontario conducted two Employer Job Offer draws under the OINP

On April 30, 2026, the Government of Ontario conducted new invitation draws in the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream (EJO FW) and International Student Stream (EJO IS) of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

In these draws, the province targeted candidates working in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The OINP issued 720 invitations to apply (ITAs) under the EJO FW Stream (57 points and above) and 277 ITAs under the EJO IS Stream (81 points and above). In total, the province issued invitations to 13,527 candidates under the OINP this year.
