Alberta held six new AAIP draws in July

On July 16, 2025, Alberta released the results of the recent Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) immigration draws.

On July 3 and 9, 2025, the province invited 36 Express Entry candidates and 32 non-Express Entry candidates under the Dedicated Health Care Pathway, respectively.

On July 4 and 8, Alberta invited candidates working in the agriculture and aviation sectors (15 and 20, respectively) under the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors stream. The July 11 draw invited 269 candidates under the Alberta Opportunity stream, while on July 16, Alberta invited up to ten candidates under the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway.

So far, Alberta has invited 2,012 candidates through the AAIP streams this year.

Newfoundland and Labrador conducted new draws

On July 10, 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador held its fifth round of selections through the Enhanced Expression of Interest (EOI) system, issuing a total of 350 invitations.

Of these, 300 were sent to candidates under the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP), while 59 went to applicants through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).

As of February 19, 2025, all applicants to the NLPNP and AIP must submit their applications through the new Immigration Accelerator platform.

So far, the province has invited 1,668 candidates in 2025.

British Columbia conducted two draws for entrepreneurs

On July 8, 2025, British Columbia held new draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

The BCPNP issued 12 invitations to candidates in the Base Category of the Entrepreneur Stream, which is designed for experienced businesspeople who wish to start a new business or acquire an existing business in British Columbia.

The lowest score of this round was 121 points.

In addition, the province invited up to five candidates in the Entrepreneur Immigration - Regional Pilot category with a minimum score of 115.

Last year, British Columbia invited up to 80 business candidates through the Entrepreneur draws. So far this year, the province has issued only 153 invitations under the BCPNP, with up to 59 of them going to entrepreneurs.

Manitoba invited International Education and Skilled Worker Stream candidates

On July 10, 2025, Manitoba held the latest invitation round #249 under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

The province invited 27 skilled workers under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams as part of a strategic recruitment initiative, with a minimum score of 673.

Additionally, the MPNP invited 40 candidates under the "Graduate Internship Pathway" (GIP) selection category within the International Education Stream.

In this round, Manitoba has issued invitations to 67 candidates, including 29 Express Entry candidates. This year, the MPNP invited 1,405 candidates, and 271 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.
