The Government of Canada invited a thousand CEC candidates under Express Entry

On August 7, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new Express Entry draw for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates.

IRCC issued 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates in the CEC-targeted draw. In round #359, the cut-off score was 534 points, 16 points more than the previous CEC-targeted draw.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was August 03, 2025, at 06:22:02 UTC.

As of August 5, 2025, 256,585 profiles were registered in the Express Entry pool. So far, Canada has issued 50,628 invitations through 29 Express Entry draws in 2025.

Manitoba invited Skilled Workers Stream candidates through the MPNP

On July 24, 2025, Manitoba held the invitation round #250 under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

The province invited 19 skilled workers under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams as part of a strategic recruitment initiative, with a minimum score of 611.

In this round, three invitations were extended to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile number and a job seeker validation code.

This year, the MPNP invited 1,424 candidates, and 274 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.

Quebec launched its first invitations under the new Skilled Worker Selection Program

On July 22, 2025, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration, Francisation et Integration (MIFI) published the results of the 75th invitation round in Quebec’s online system Arrima.

The first Arrima draws of the year were conducted on July 17, 2025.

MIFI invited 216 candidates under Stream 1 (Highly qualified and specialized skills) and 22 candidates under Stream 4 (Exceptional talent), with priority given to French-speaking candidates currently residing in Quebec who possess local work experience or education, particularly in regions facing labour shortages.

Last year, Quebec invited 24,144 candidates through the regular Arrima draws.

Ottawa conducted the third Express Entry draw for healthcare and social workers

On July 22, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the third occupation-specific Express Entry draw of the year for candidates working in healthcare and social services occupations.

In round #357, IRCC issued 4,000 Invitations to Apply (ITA), and the cut-off score was 475 points (29 points lower than the last draw). The tie-breaking rule for this round was March 13, 2025, at 13:08:29 UTC. As of July 20, 2025, 256,914 profiles were registered in the Express Entry pool.

This year, Canada issued 49,403 ITAs in 27 Express Entry draws.
