The province of Newfoundland and Labrador conducted the second draw of August

On August 29, 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador held its eighth round of selections through the Enhanced Expression of Interest (EOI) system, issuing a total of 202 invitations.

Of these, 125 were sent to candidates under the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP), while 77 went to applicants through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). As of February 19, 2025, all applicants to the NLPNP and AIP must submit their applications through the new Immigration Accelerator platform.

So far, the province has invited 2,251 candidates in 2025.

Ontario conducted new draws under the OINP

On August 28, 2025, Ontario held new immigration draws under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.

A total of 348 candidates with job offers in Northern Ontario were invited through the Employer Job Offer streams.

The minimum scores were 53 for the Foreign Worker Stream and 66 for the International Student Stream. Another 138 candidates were invited through the Regional Economic Development Immigration pilot (REDI).

The minimum scores were 45 for the Foreign Worker Stream, 68 for the International Student Stream, and 34 for the In-Demand Skills Stream. Both draws were limited to candidates currently residing in Canada.

In total, OINP issued 4,281 invitations in 2025.

Prince Edward Island held a new draw for skilled workers and international graduates

On August 21, 2025, Prince Edward Island conducted 2025’s eighth invitation round under the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP).

In this draw, PEI issued 132 invitations to apply (ITAs) to workers in priority sectors based on economic impact in PEI. The province prioritized candidates with employment offers from PEI-based organizations and international graduates from recognized institutions, including UPEI, Holland College, and Collège de l'Île, in this selection process.

So far, the province has invited only one business candidate this year and 791 skilled workers through the regular PEI PNP draws in 2025. According to the schedule, the next PEI PNP draw is scheduled for September 18, 2025.

Manitoba invited Skilled Workers Stream candidates in the new MPNP draw

On August 21, 2025, Manitoba held the invitation round #252 under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

The province invited 77 skilled workers under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams as part of a strategic recruitment initiative, with a minimum score of 612.

In this round, 18 invitations were extended to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile number and a job seeker validation code.

This year, the MPNP invited 1,538 candidates, and 299 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.
