On January 5, 2026, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the Express Entry draw #389.
In the first draw of 2026, the Government of Canada issued 574 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates.
This round’s cut-off score was 711 points, 20 points fewer than the previous PNP-targeted draw.
The tie-breaking rule for this round was October 06, 2025, at 01:54:31 UTC. As of January 4, 2026, 236,554 profiles were registered in the Express Entry pool. Last year, the Government of Canada held 58 draws and invited 113,998 Express Entry candidates, including 10,898 PNP candidates.

On December 31, 2025, Manitoba held the invitation round #261 under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
The province invited 421 candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream. The draw invited 353 candidates under the occupation-specific selection and 68 candidates under the Skilled Worker pathway.
In this round, 118 invitations were extended to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile number and a job seeker validation code.
In 2025, the MPNP invited 7,765 candidates, and 1,469 of them received invitations in the Express Entry system.

On December 18, 2025, Manitoba held the invitation round #260 under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
The province invited 63 skilled workers under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams as part of a strategic recruitment initiative.
In this round, eight invitations were extended to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile number and a job seeker validation code.
This year, the MPNP invited 7,344 candidates, and 1,351 of them received invitations in the Express Entry system.

On December 18, 2025, New Brunswick published the results of its recent draws using an expression of interest system to streamline immigration applications for the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP).
On November 16 and December 9, 2025, the province conducted three draws and issued a total of 145 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to qualified candidates under the NB Skilled Worker – NB Experience Stream, NB Skilled Worker – NB Graduates Stream, and NB Express Entry – Employment in New Brunswick Stream. In total, the province invited 3,734 candidates in 2025.
