British Columbia invited more candidates through the BCPNP draws

On April 18, 2023, the Government of British Columbia issued new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills Immigration candidates.

In the general draw, the province invited 158 candidates.

The minimum score for candidates invited in this draw was 85-107 points.

The province issued 29 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202).

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 16 candidates who scored 60 points.

In addition, the province invited fewer than five candidates working in other priority occupations. In total, the province issued up to 208 ITAs in this draw.

This year, British Columbia has already invited 3,536 candidates.

IRCC held a new all-program Express Entry draw

On April 12, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 3,500 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under Express Entry.

In this draw, IRCC continued inviting candidates under all immigration programs. In round #246, the cut-off score was 486 points, five points more than in the previous all-program draw.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was July 19, 2022, at 11:05:24 UTC. As of April 12, 2023, there are 231,119 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool, 3,828 fewer than the previous update.

In 2023, Canada issued 41,059 ITAs through ten Express Entry draws.

BC invited skilled candidates and tech workers

On April 11, 2023, British Columbia issued new invitations in the Skilled Worker – International Graduate categories of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP).

In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 99 invitations with a minimum score of 85 points.

In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202), the province invited 25 candidates who scored 60 points.

In the Healthcare-targeted draw, the province issued 8 invitations too. In this draw, the province invited a total of 132 candidates.

Ontario invited candidates under the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream

On April 11, 2023, the Government of Ontario held a new draw in the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream (EJO IDS) of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

The province issued 295 invitations to apply (ITAs) to the eligible candidates through the EJO IDS stream, with a minimum score of 30.

Candidates, who created their profiles between November 22, 2022, and April 11, 2023, were considered by OINP in this draw.

In total, OINP issued invitations to 11,877 candidates in 2023.
