Manitoba nominated 516 candidates in August 2021

On September 9, 2021, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) published new nomination issuance statistics.

In August 2021, the province nominated 516 skilled workers. In August, there were no approved business concepts, however, the province refused one application of skilled workers and a business concept.

MPNP invited 275 skilled workers, 3 business concepts and sent LAAs to 7 business candidates.

This month, Manitoba received 1,142 applications from skilled workers and 2 applications from business candidates. Currently, the province is assessing 416 applications, and the other 949 applications are pending assessment.

Additionally, Manitoba nominated 203 Express Entry candidates. Last year, MPNP nominated 5,656 foreign nationals, including 605 nominees from Express Entry.

Quebec invited 517 candidates in the new Arrima draw

On September 8, 2021, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) published the results of the 22nd invitation round in Quebec’s online system Arrima.

On September 2, 2021, MIFI invited 517 candidates to apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program.

Candidates, invited in this round, can submit an application for permanent selection in order to obtain a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) within a period of 6 months.

In total, Quebec invited 2,664 persons through the Arrima in 2021. Since the launch of Arrima in July 2019, the government of Quebec invited 5,354 foreign nationals in 22 draws to apply for immigration to Quebec.

Saskatchewan invited 528 candidates in the new round of SINP

On September 8, 2021, Saskatchewan conducted a new round of invitations in the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

This time, SINP issued 528 invitations to apply (ITAs) for the provincial nomination. In the Express Entry category, Saskatchewan issued 316 ITAs.

The lowest score in this category was 66, 5 points fewer than in the last round. In addition, 212 invitations were issued to the Occupations In-Demand category candidates.

The lowest score for this category was 66 points – 4 points less than in the last round. All invited candidates had Educational Credential Assessments. In this draw, Saskatchewan invited candidates in 16 different NOCs for both categories.

In total, Saskatchewan invited 5,844 candidates in 2021, including 2,581 under the Express Entry, and 3,194 under the Occupations In-Demand category.

British Columbia held a new draw in the BCPNP Tech

On September 7, 2021, British Columbia held a new draw in the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Tech Program (BC PNP Tech).

In this draw, the province invited 34 candidates in four categories: Skills Immigration - Skilled Worker, Skills Immigration - International Graduate, Express Entry British Columbia - Skilled Worker, and Express Entry British Columbia - International Graduate.

The lowest score in all categories traditionally was 80 points. In 2021, British Columbia invited 1,314 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination in the BCPNP Tech.

In total, BCPNP issued 8,127 ITAs to date.
