IRCC invited 4,500 Francophone candidates in the new Express Entry draw

On October 6, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new Express Entry draw for French language proficiency candidates.

In round #371, IRCC issued 4,500 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to francophone candidates. The cut-off score of this draw was 432points, 14 points fewer than in the previous draw in this category.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was June 13, 2025, at 19:07:01 UTC. This year, Canada issued 71,338 ITAs through 41 Express Entry draws, and 30,000 of them were sent to francophone candidates.

On October 2, 2025, the Government of British Columbia held the second Skills Immigration invitation draws under the British Columbia

Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) and issued invitations to apply to 474 skilled candidates.

The selection criteria targeted two distinct groups: 114 candidates in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 earning a minimum wage of $90 per hour and $175,000 per year, and another 360 candidates who achieved a minimum score of 140 points.

Additionally, the province issued 11 invitations to candidates in the Base Category of the Entrepreneur Stream, which is designed for experienced businesspeople who wish to start a new business or acquire an existing business in British Columbia.

Ottawa invited 1,000 CEC candidates through Express Entry

On October 1, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a new Express Entry draw for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates.

IRCC issued 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates in the CEC-targeted draw. In round #370, the cut-off score was 534 points, the same as it was in the two previous CEC-targeted draws.

The tie-breaking rule for this round was February 21, 2025, at 04:01:57 UTC. As of September 28, 2025, 250,993 profiles were registered in the Express Entry pool. So far, Canada has issued 66,838 invitations through 40 Express Entry draws in 2025.
