Prince Edward Island issued 153 invitations in May 2022

On May 19, 2022, Prince Edward Island conducted a new invitation round in the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP). In the fifth round of the year, the province issued 137 invitations to apply to skilled workers in the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams. PEI also invited 16 candidates to the Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs stream. The lowest score for business candidates was 62 points, 5 points fewer than it was in the April draw. In 2021, Prince Edward Island issued 1,854 invitations, including 157 invitations to business candidates. This year, PEI invited 690 candidates. British Columbia invited 137 Skilled Immigration and Tech candidates in the new BCPNP draws

On May 24, 2022, the Government of British Columbia issued new invitations under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) and invited qualified Skills Immigration

candidates and Tech workers. In the Tech-targeted draw, BC issued 115 invitations, with a minimum score of 85 points. In the Childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 4214),

the province invited 11 candidates. In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 11 candidates. The lowest score of those candidates was 60 points. In total, the province invited up to 137

candidates. In 2022, British Columbia has already issued 3,643 invitations.

Canada invited 589 PNP candidates in the new Express Entry draw

On May 25, 2022, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 589 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in the new PNP-

specific draw. In round #223, the lowest score to get the ITA was 741 points, 12 points fewer compared to the previous round. The tie-breaking rule for this round was February 2, 2022 at 12:29:53

UTC. As of May 24, 2022, there are 211,093 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool, 4,367 more compared to the previous update. In 2022, Canada invited 9,220 candidates to apply for PR in Express Entry.

Alberta invited new candidates and updated the AINP inventory

On May 25, 2022, Alberta published the update of the inventory of the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). There were around 1,050 Alberta Opportunity Stream applications and 750

Expressions of Interest in the Alberta Express Entry pool. In addition, on May 19, 2022, Alberta held a new round in the Alberta Express Entry Stream and issued 100 Notifications of Interest

(NOI). The lowest score in this round was 382 points, 26 points more than it was in the previous draw. Last year, AINP invited 6,608 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination

in the Alberta Express Entry. In 2022, Alberta has already invited 2,050 candidates.
