11th, Oct 2023
On October 10, 2023, the Canadian Government started inviting candidates through the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP).
From October 10 to October 23, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will send invitations to apply to 24,200 potential sponsors selected randomly from the pool of submissions from 2020.
IRCC aims to receive 15,000 complete applications. Candidates who submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2020 but have yet to receive an invitation to apply for the PGP in 2021 or 2022 should continue checking their emails for the invitation from IRCC.
The Government has also updated the income requirements that all applicants must follow to be considered eligible.
