Express Entry Trends in 2026 and What Winnipeg Applicants Need to Know
7th, May 2024
On April 29, 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced that the temporary policy allowing students to work over 20 hours off campus weekly will end on April 30, 2024, without extension.
From this fall, students can work 24 hours off campus weekly.
This ensures students focus on their studies while having work options as needed.
During academic breaks, students can work unlimited hours.
This change, developed considering student needs, other countries' policies, and research on academic outcomes, strikes a balance between work and study.
