Canadian Provincial Immigration Sees Turbulent Shifts in 2025
4th, Sep 2025
The Northwest Territories has secured an increase of 47 nominee spaces for its 2025 Immigration Nominee Program, bringing the total allocation to 197, following concentrated advocacy efforts by the Government of the Northwest Territories.
Minister Caitlin Cleveland announced that while this increase does not fully restore previous levels, it represents critical progress in addressing the territory's unique workforce and population needs.
The additional spaces will accommodate eligible applicants from the second 2025 intake, with assessment priority based on work permit expiry dates.
