Canada succeeded to decrease the amount of COVID infected international flights
According to Health Canada, the number of international flights carrying COVID-19 infected passengers dropped 61% in May compared to April.
In May, only 113 flights landing at Canadian airports carried passengers infected with COVID-19 while in April,
this number was 288, 66 of which were direct flights from India’s capital of Delhi. This proves the efficiency of Transport Canada’s decision to ban passenger flights from India and Pakistan on April 22.
In addition, restrictions on travellers arriving from these two countries via connecting flights also helped to drop the number of COVID-19 infected international flights.

Registration to the event is available for experienced Data Scientists and Data Engineers (NOC 2172 Database analysts and data administrators). Candidates meeting the requirements of New Brunswick have to register before June 15, 2021.

Immigration Medical Examination requirements were updated for Express Entry
Due to COVID-19, the Government of Canada made some changes to the way how applicants can meet an Immigration Medical Examination (IME) requirement for Express Entry application submission. IME is required as a part of the application for permanent residence. Since applicants who are currently in Canada, may not be able to secure an appointment for an IME within a short timeframe, proof of an appointment booked will be accepted in some circumstances. Applicants are advised to visit Medical exams for Express Entry for full details before the arrangement of IME. If IME is already completed, applicants have to proceed with their application submission as usual.

Canada updated the temporary public policy for out-of-status construction workers in the Greater Toronto Area
The government of Canada updated the Temporary Public Policy for Out-of-Status Construction Workers in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) that was implemented on January 2, 2020. The policy has sought to regularize individuals who have been contributing to the Canadian economy by filling a regional labour market need. The new temporary public policy will have the same objectives and will further facilitate access to permanent resident status for 500 construction workers and their family members in the GTA. The former public policy will terminate on July 29, 2021 and be replaced by the new public policy that takes effect on July 30, 2021.
