On April 14, 2022, British Columbia clarified guidelines regarding the selection of candidates and issuance of Invitations to Apply (ITAs).
The province uses the information applicants provide in registrations to rank, select, and invite candidates and issues ITAs based on those criteria to meet BC’s economic and labour market needs.
Education, language skills, occupation, work experience, etc. are some of the main attributes that the province considers when inviting candidates.
In addition, the province issues targeted invitations to support its priorities, such as supporting specific business sectors and encouraging regional immigration.
