New Brunswick introduced a new guideline for the New Brunswick Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program
On May 13, 2021, New Brunswick released an updated official guide entitled "The Employer’s Guide to the New Brunswick Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program". New Brunswick is one of the provinces participating in the program. AIPP allows the Government of New Brunswick to help workers with the skills, education, and work experience to contribute to New Brunswick’s economy and fill labour market shortages in the province. All applicants must show their intention to reside and work in New Brunswick permanently and meet all requirements. So far, in 2021, Canada granted PR to 200 foreign nationals in New Brunswick via the AIPP.

Canada can increase caps of new temporary immigration pathways
With the introduction of new pathways to permanent residency, Canada will grant permanent residency to 90,000 temporary foreign workers and international student graduates as part of the country’s annual immigration goal. Due to the extensive number of applicants, the pathway for international student graduates reached its caps. Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Marco Mendicino stated that he is open to discussions about the revision of current caps, which means the government can increase caps to meet the 2021 levels target of 401,000 permanent resident admissions.
