Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws under the International Experience Canada (IEC). From February 14 to February 20, Canada invited 3,315 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of February 20, 29,544 candidates have registered in the pool and are awaiting the invitation.
In these rounds, there were 335 ITAs for Australia, 19 ITAs for Austria, 42 ITAs for Belgium, 53 ITAs for Chile, 12 ITAs for Costa Rica, 1 ITA for Croatia, 49 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 16 ITAs for Denmark, 9 ITAs for Estonia, 7 ITAs for Finland, 737 ITAs for France, 173 ITAs for Germany, 12 ITAs for Greece, 5 ITAs for Hong Kong, 1 ITA for Iceland, 232 ITAs for Ireland, 125 ITAs for Italy, 417 ITAs for Korea, 4 ITAs Latvia, 13 ITAs for Lithuania, 4 ITAs for Luxembourg, 29 ITAs for the Netherlands, 48 ITAs for Norway, 28 ITAs for Poland, 31 ITAs for Portugal, 10 ITAs for Slovakia, 4 ITAs for Slovenia, 99 ITAs for Spain, 14 ITAs for Sweden, 4 ITAs for Switzerland, 109 ITAs for Taiwan, and 673 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In total, Canada invited 37,973 IEC candidates in 2026.
