The latest French-language Express Entry draw in Canada has reached a new record low, with the qualifying threshold dropping to 399. This move is part of the government’s effort to prioritize bilingual candidates and enhance linguistic diversity within the skilled worker pool.

By lowering the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, Canada continues to incentivize French-speaking immigrants to apply for permanent residency. This strategy is essential for meeting national demographic goals and supporting Francophone communities outside of Quebec.

The historic low score provides a significant opportunity for applicants with strong French language skills to fast-track their journey to permanent status. Immigration observers note that this trend highlights the ongoing value placed on linguistic proficiency in Canada's immigration system.
