On April 14, 2023, the Government of Yukon announced support for people affected by devastating earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria.
To assist Turkish and Syrian nationals displaced by these events, Yukon donated $25,000 to Yukon Cares, a community organization established in 2015.
In addition, applications from Turkish and Syrian citizens will receive priority under the Yukon Nominee Program.
Yukon also created a support desk, similar to the Ukrainian family support desk, offering help and resources to newcomers impacted by the earthquake. #Yukon, #Turkey, #Syria, #earthquake, #Yukon_Nominee_Program
