New measures for foreign nationals with expired or expiring post-graduation work permits and applicants to the temporary resident to permanent resident pathways
14th, Apr 2023
Thunder Bay published an important program update for the 2023 Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) intake.
Within the first three months of the year, Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) received over 200 applications - more than half of the 2023 allotment.
As a result, from April 12 to May 8, 2023, the city will reopen the candidate application form, enabling candidates to apply for a recommendation this year.
Since the introduction of the RNIP in November 2019, Thunder Bay CEDC has recommended a total of 377 candidates for permanent residence under the RNIP.
